Service was great here, the staff is friendly and attentive to customers. The restaurant itself has a retro aesthetic, making it a great spot to dine in. We ordered a smash burger double, and smash burger triple, both as is. The burgers had a great texture, but the flavor was lacking a bit. Most of what I got coming through was grease and cheese. We also got the screwed and original fries. These were great! The crispiness was perfect and the sauce on the screwed fries was addicting. For dessert I got the Vietnamese coffee milkshake. The coffee flavor wasn't coming through very much but the milkshake was delicious! I think this place is worth the try, the shake and fries are great!

Overall wowed with my experience at burger bodega! The burger is very good - with the classic smashed with crispy edges and great cheese and sauce. The chopped cheese sandwich was pretty good as well but nothing beat the smash burger! The screwed fries were reminiscent of in n out animal style fries - but better! Since the fries themselves were better. We got the food quickly as well. The ambiance is a cool retro vibe with supporting local Houston food brands - which I loved. Keep in mind that sometimes there is a long line. My tip would be to get there when they open (at 11 am) since we snagged a table but soon after people waited around to sit and eat at a table if you don't want to eat outside in the houston heat!

Burger Bodega is now one of my favorite burgers. I like the burger because it is well seasoned and is a simple burger with just cheese, onion, pickles, and sauce. You are able to add other ingredients to this Smash Burger. 5/5 We got the regular and the screwed fries. They were good but nothing special. 4/5 The presentation of the burger was nothing special but still appetizing. 3/5 You oder your buger from the counter and they call you up to get it. Once you sit down several staff came to check to see if you are good. 4/5 We went on a Friday. There was not a line. Inside was small but brightly decorated. 4/5

I had high hopes for this place after watching a YouTube video on chopped cheese (a NY sandwich) and seeing that there was a place in Houston that served it ahaha. We went on a rainy day and the staff were so nice and welcoming. It is a small fast casual restaurant with a couple of booths, small tables, and a bar/bench area with self serve drinks and condiments. It is keenly decorated and reminiscent of the 90's with bright cobalt blue and Burger Bodega branded corner store goods such as cereal, detergent, soda, etc. very cute and creative. There is also a rooftop but we did not get to go because it was raining. The food itself I dare say was just okay. The burger was a solid smash burger but I don't think any different than other smash burgers. I wish they had the option for more vegetables like lettuce and tomato haha. The chopped cheese was also okay, it tasted like a normal like hamburger helper hoagie with curry seasoning. This was also true for the chopped fries which were a whopping $9. Both chopped items had a bit of a kick though which I appreciated. A kind employee also offered us to try some of their house made sauce Harlem aioli, which I did like but it did not make up for the food. I didn't try the milkshakes but I wish I did as the flavors looked interesting (mango lassi, cafe sua da, etc). I may return just for that but not so much for the food. If you go I would recommend the burger over the chopped cheese or fries. I would rate this place a 3/5 but I think it deserves a 4/5 because of the attentive service.

Move all the way over Shake Shack! Burger Bodega is where it's at! Ambiance: Laid back and chill. The inside is very small, and the line is frequently out the door; however, customer service is top notch. Food: Plain and simple, the burgers are out of this world. I love a good burger. Shake Shack and Capital Burger are my faves for burgers, but Burger Bodega has got the sauce lol. The burgers are smashed and drool-worthy. You're able to choose a number of toppings, and honestly, everything just literally melts in your mouth. So good. I definitely can see them expanding into other parts of the U.S. and exceling! We're waiting in DC/MD!

The food is good. However, there was a fat racist worker who needs to be fired. I came in with my son, I asked him can we sit somewhere. He said it was a full house. He was very short with me. Then a white/Mexican couple came in, I heard him giving them ideals on what to order. fast forward to when I got text to leave, I got up from the table to throw our trash away. My son carries a toy airplane with him. This you know what had the audacity to pick my son's airplane up and hand it to me, so that we can hurry up and leave. He took all my stuff off the table as if he didn't want us dining in and proceeded to rush me and my son. Then he apologized because he knew he was wrong. He literally rushed us up out of the area we were in. This is my second time visiting the restaurant. The food is good, and the other workers were nice. Word to the owner, fire this fat porky mf! It's the fattest sloppiest one you have working there. Hopefully, the description helps. He is very rude. I know when a person is racist. The energy is in the air thick. You can cut it with a knife.

Burger Bodega is definitely a vibe! I love all their bright decor and how everything is Houston or burger bodega themed! The only down side of this place is that it is terribly small! So very limited seating inside, although they do have the top patio outside where you are also welcomed to eat. This is a smash burger place, so the patties are thin but very flavorful! I do suggest to get at least a double if you're really hungry. My favorite thing about this burger was the buns, they were so soft and buttery! Their fries were crispy and the cheese on them was yummy! Their chocolate milkshake wasn't all that, it seems like they rim the cup around with chocolate syrup but just put straight vanilla shake in there so it did not have a good chocolate flavor. The staff was nice and although there was a long ordering line, they seemed to be handing out the orders fairly quick! This is a pretty cool burger spot that you need to visit if you haven't! 9.5/10
